How to Bid
Lugosi Auctioneers & Valuers invites you to participate in the live auction either in person, by telephone, by absentee bids or by real-time internet bids [via Invaluable]. Our aim is to create a bidding experience not only convenient and discreet but also rewarding.
- Registration Forms: In order to bid, you must complete a registration form. Once the registration form has been processed by our office, you will be issued with a bidding number. All bidding forms require supporting identification that includes your current address but there is no cost involved with registration. You can either send your form electronically or download a hard copy and email /post it by mail to our office.
- For online bidders: You will register with Invaluable, then log in to follow the auction and make any bids on the items. You should, however, register at a minimum of three hours before the auction is scheduled to commence to ensure bidding approval. Internet bidders may be asked to provide credit card details before being allowed to bid.
- Before you bid: It is important to remember that a 20% Buyer’s Premium plus GST will incur on top of the hammer price. Invaluable live internet bidding incurs an additional 5% surcharge plus GST. Once you make a successful bid on an item, our auctioneer will be asked to verify the lot number and record it on your registered profile.
There is a surcharge of 1.5% on payment by Visa & Mastercard credit cards. There is no charge for Eftpos. We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard and Bank Deposit into our nominated Trust Account. Personal cheques are accepted only by prior approval of Lugosi Auctioneers & Valuers.
